elbow pain

Yes get elbow sleves www.rehband.com they are $25 for each arm but worth every cent. I got these a few months ago and they work great. Three of the best benchers here wear them, they are sky blue in color and the best around. They are Sweedish so I dont understand their site but you can order them online from a few sites. No, I dont sell them lol You may have seen some of the WSM guys wearing rehband stuff you can see by the blue colors

Whats the differnece between them and say mueller arm sleeves other than price. My elbows are getting to the point where i can't even go heavy on pullling motions like rows iether. Today was the last straw. It hurts to do two of the best movements so much that i can't do theem , this sucks. I think i'm gonna drop speed bands and go with chains for a while.

Grimmer, I havent used the mueller ones so\ I cant comment on them. The rehband ones are thick, strong and durable. I saw some low cost elbow sleves at the S Authority and they look like nothing next to rehband. I guess the low cost ones would work for a 200 bencher but mabey not so well for a 400 or 500 lifter. It sounds like your elbow needs some rehab and I think you might want to cal
l elitefitnesssystems and talk to them about their stuff like a trigger wheel or something like that because they know about. those things.

Bands for 2 wks then chains for 3, then back.

I have the mueller ones and like them. Just could not afford the rehband ones at the moment.

Aka-tapout, SouthPawSE suggested glucosamine. I think this is
a good idea. AST makes a product called Pro-Flex. It contains
glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin sulfate and an antioxidant
alkaloid - proanthocyanidin.

I had really bad elbow pain. The triceps extensions killed my
left elbow. Cannot take pain killers as I have liver problems. I
thought I was going to have to live with the pain but I was
lucky and found the Pro-Flex stuff. It has made a big difference.
The pain has pretty much gone away. Pro-Flex is expensive
but worth it my case.

Hope this helps.

Yes i agree glucosomine does work. I used to were i had zero pain in my elbows. Now i just use anti infamatories when needed. BUt i use the cheap 6 bucks a piece ace elbow sleeves. I got mine at wal-mart. The reason i use then is really i do not want anything too tight or thick. I do nto wanna feel like they help at all. Basically i use them so that between are long rests my tris and elbopws stay warm. And on days i bench and do tris, they only come off for pushdowns. Other then that they are on the whole time. I do not use them when i shirt of course.

But you knwo i do a couple things that i hear no one mention. I ice and strecth. I do it at home while watching tv. But i got those twist off top ice bags. I got a couple of them i fill them with ice, ice my shit, and stick them back in the freezer. I probably change the ice in each one once a week. They will not completely melt in 20 minuites. Another trick is when you put the ice bag back in the freeszer let one end hang over somthing so it freezes into a little groove that fits nicely over knees or elbows or shoulders. I am telling you now ice is the best period. I have rehabed two fucked up shoulders. The last one i didnt really knwo if would bench with in the first 6 months of injury. And i am pretty close to 100% as of now. How? Ice, sometimes three times aday for 30 minutes a pop along with anti's. Ice is good but if you only do periodically its really defeats the purpose. Every day. Till pain is gone. While your doing that get some glucosomine, or alfalpha, or hell deca!

If it is bicep tendonitis, sometimes strengthening the brachioradialis can help. Hammer curls and reverse grip curls performed with a false grip. Also, specific strengthening of the forearm flexors and extensors can help alleviate certain types of elbow stress. Performing wrist curls and reverse wrist curls with a dumbbell and the forearm isolated (across a bench) may help.

MSM can sometimes work wonders.

thanks bros for all the tips----it worked---i used icy hot then a poly sleve that is for the knee(the arm one was way too small) and it cut pain by 75%. i am startin glucosmine and alfalfa and going to find that stuff geno-o mentioned. also like plj says i am icing the shit out of it
