Egg White Q

So I am getting tired of regular Egg Whites.... So I have been adding a few mushrooms, green pepper and some onion to it and scrambling it up. Makes eating it SO much better and tasty.

Goals....trying to lose a little BF, drop the 10lbs I gained while being sick, get my muscles back :)

Are these few veggies going to make it tougher to meet my goals? I think no, since the amounts are so little and low carb. But looking for others opinions and thoughts.... Anyone?

i've never placed a limit on veggies and it's always seemed to work out fine, but that's just me

Same here, I just started getting paranoid for some reason....I guess because everyone always eats egg whites plain (as I did in the past) so I felt like a deviant for putting something in them. lol

Thanks for the thoughts.

Nahh Im with you on tha that.. after tons and tons of eggs it gets old.. ya gotta spice them up. I think its good to add veggies to them.. just gotta count them cals like any other.

I can't see how veggies would hinder your goal.....

But to change it up a little, try some sauteed spinach in your eggs, also asparagus is good too!!

No, and you can also add spices for more tasteful omeletes

I make it with baby spinach and apple.

Sautee the baby spinach with some chopped up apples (fairly small) - drain and after you drop in the white wait a few and add the spianch and apple - then flip and mix.

I scramble beans or brown rice with spinach, bell peppers or mushrooms all the time.

I use veggies for fiber, so i don't really count them toward my carb intake.

Now that sounds different & interesting!! Does it taste sweet at all or more savory? I may have to try that....

veggies like the ones youre using are good... the only ones I would tend to limit would be corn, carrots, and other more carbohydrate dense veggies...

I was sick for about 5 weeks....couldn't workout. It wasn't a "normal" sickness (i.e., cold). I had serious sinus infection and double ear infection.

In fact, I rarely lose weight when sick. Maybe the first day or two (dehydration) but my body QUICKLY rebounds and holds onto everything when I am sick - I have some freaky survival mechanism or something. When I am fighting illness, I always gain weight....even when I can't eat.
