Egg beaters?

I know that the protein in raw eggs can not be utilized and they have to be cooked to be effective. But what about Egg Beaters? They are pasteurized. Are they heated enough in the process of making them so that all the protein can be utilized? Any nutritionalists out there know? I've been drinking them right out of the carton for some time now. Got sick of eating eggs everyday.

I use eggbeaters in my shakes all the time for thicker consistency
and added protein. I had no idea that eggs had to be cooked in
order for the protein to be bioavailable. Where did you hear this from??

A friend of mine knows Keith Kline and told me he said that. Keith is a known nutrition expert that works with many bodybuilders. If I could get ahold of him I would ask him about Egg Beaters. Until then I thought somebody on this board would know. Egg Beaters are pasteurized, but I don't know if that involves some type of heating process. And if so, if that's enough to change the bioavailability for the protein.

Hey, if you ever do find out, let me know please via PM. I don't want to pour my
money down the drain on eggbeaters.

BIG BUMP

im VERY curious, id love to be able to bump my shakes up another 10 grams by adding some egg beaters...

The question was not how much protein, but , how much is bioavailable without cooking it. Duh! If you would have read the whole post you would have seen that.
