EF, help me stop being such a "nice guy".

So last night I'm at a basketball game because my friend is in charge of the cheerleaders.

Well one of the cheerleaders moms (best looking woman I've ever seen) is there. We get to talking and within the first couple minutes she says how I must be a "nice guy".

WTF?!? I'm so sick of being labeled as such. This may be my problem with dates....I'm too nice. So let's spend the next few minutes here and help me be one of those jerks, like you all are.

I was thinking on my next date I could ask her a question and just when she's about to reply I'd backhand her to the face.

or act like a gentleman and open the door for her only to slam it into the back of her head as she's walking thru it.

well?

nothing wrong with being a nice guy, has always worked for me
 
The way I see it, girls say they want a nice guy.
They date the nice guy, then dump him after a couple weeks because it got predictable and boring.

So where is the happy medium?

Contrary to popular belief, nice guys do not always finish last. Nice guys with little confidence finish last. Sometimes when a man tries to be real nice and polite he fails to convey his interest in the woman, but you can accomplish both at the same time. Flirting is the key. A nice guy will just flirt more politely than a jerk, but she will still notice the attention nontheless.

The reason why jerks often win the woman is because he flirts without abandon, and he gets his message across. Nice guys usually try NOT to flirt so they don't appear to be jerks, that's the mistake.

Of course, sometimes a man can do everything right and still not get the girl. It's all a matter of timing and luck, and some women will ruin your chances all by themselves and there will be nothing you can do about it except sigh and walk away.

aap... look at these chicks that want the 'bad' guy.... seriously your not a young cock anymore .. (pun intended ;) ) Now take a step back and ask yourself what kind of woman you really want in your life? (btw quit proposing to me .. m'kay *wink*)

Those that will see beyond your 'nice guy' image and look deeper to the heart of who you really are, reconize the value of a meaningful relationship. Be true to yourself... In the end the payoff is priceless :rose:

It's called personality, and you have tons of it maing, which is why I always think these rants are AAP like in genuineness.

If your personality in real life reflects your online at all, I don't see where you're going wrong (sans all the I suck with girls crap/ you don't say all this stuff to chicks, do you?)

Well she (the mom) did tell my friend I was real cute and dressed well. We talked and she has a single sister that's 25 she wants me to meet, so hopefully the nice guy thing wasn't all that bad.

I just hope the looks were spread evenly in that family. :)

No, actually I have no fucking idea what you ever are talking about.


Everything about you, and a few others here, is about constant obscurity. Honestly I have no fucking idea what your problem lately has been. And I don't bother asking more than once generally, and I think in your case I did so twice.

If anyone should have a problem its me with you, and you do know what Im talking about.But I let it slide given the circumstance, and never even so much as mentioned it to you or anyone. Don't involve me in your games man, I have never the time nor inclination.

If I have a problem with someone they know it. If someone askes me they know it. You arent an ambassador, and neither of us is opposing nations. The fate of the world doesnt hinge on this crap.

And to save you time, and avoid further pointless exercises in veiled threats, there is nothing I've done that a new someone would not be made aware of. Unlike yourself, Im pretty fucking upfront with everyone

Anywho.......Amp...............quit being a doormat.....there I said it. I had this same conversation with my little SISTER. If there's something you want, or don't want in a relationship, take it. Life is about compromise, but not when it comes to your integrity. It's easier said than done...I know. Let your snide humor come through a little bit, don't save it for the keyboard. :)
 
Well i too have the same problem as you mate, but i have deicided not to change who i am, yes i am a nice guy, BUT I AM FIRM ( Meaning NOT WEAK OR A PUSH OVER)
I do Believe nice guys with a great deal of self respect and self worth, will ALWAYS win the Game and Never Finish Last.

So Keep on being a nice guy Bro, because like u i am, BUT just dont be weak or a pushover, and U will ALWAYS GET THE GIRL
