Eating More Carbs For Size

Goals: Trying to gain more size with as little fat gain as possible. Obviously ny increasing the amount of daily protein intake you'll gain more lbm, but will eating more carbs then usual do anything positive. Like I said I know it's hard to gain size and stay lean, so If I have to choose one I'll just totaly bulk know and worry about shedding the bf later. I was just wondering what the extra carb intake brings to the table?
 
Well you need a lot of calories and carbs are an easy way to add some in, just eat them in the morning only if your really worried about staying lean.

I'm doing the same thing as for the next 5 mos as well-trying to add muscle with as little fat gain as possible. What I am trying is adding maltrodextrin to my protein shakes from which I get about 200-300 more cals and these are also on days which I run a lot or train harder. I also have added more nat. peanut butter and flaxseed oil for about 500-700 more cals/day, this usually later in the day. I can already feel my energy levels increasing and I think I tried so long to do a lot of cardio with low carbs that my body has not had glucose for energy or muscle building(or I wouldn't be trying to put more weight on).

Also another thing I am doing thats a little diferent is bulking for a longer period of time with fewer cals instead of a "crash" bulk diet for 2 mos.

Try experimenting with your carb intake. Keep track of how many,approx, carbs you take in each day. Stay at a certain level of carbs each day for a week at a time to find your maintainance level. Also eat a large amout of your daily carbs before 1 P.M. then taper off or stop all together. This will allow you to burn excess carbs and perhaps even a little fat each night. I am doing this now and take a protein shake, 50%whey, 50% egg with a tablespoon of flax oil before bed. Then I have a piece of fruit upon waking 15 min before hitting the gym. Seems to be working just fine so far, I will be starting wk 2 tomorrow.
 
It also depends on the person, I know one guy thats very carb sensitive and if he eats a few pieces of bread he blows up and looks like the marshmellow man...but some people can carb up and not have any problems. I would still take the ala because no matter what it will keep you in ketosis so you wont get fat.
