For me, I can go with either: high protein, moderate/high fat and no carbs or high protein, low fat and low carbs to lean up. Or, a combination of the 2 works (5 days of one, 2 days of the other, for example). So, if your running relatively low fat, you certainly could keep that level of carbs in. Its all about what works for you. If your new to dieting, experiment....
