eating in order

Do any of you guys actually eat the carbs you have with a meal before the prot. And i mean all the rice before attacking the chicken :P

I remember reading somewhere that this is benificial. Dont ask me for a link cause i dont remember where, and why :p

Never heard of eating carbs then protein, but I have read stuff about doing it the other way around. Supposedly, if you eat your protein and fat first it will lower your insulin response to the carbs. I don't think this has a significant effect in real life, but I usually do it anyway. Can't hurt.

i dont know about carbs before protein, but ive read that its benefical to eat raw foods first..then the reats of your meal. ie uncooked food first eg salad/raw veg then meal. It is meant to be better for your digestive system

that makes no sense
If you're referring to my post, then you are mistaken. Protein stimulates glucagon production. Two effects of glucagon are that it causes the release of stored carbs from the liver, causing a greater feeling of satiety. This makes it less likely one will overeat carbs. Additionally, glucagon reduces insulin secretion. Again, I don't think "eating in order" has that significant of a "real world" effect however.

and why would it not make sense?

Juts like protein stimulates glucagon. Carbs stimulates insuline production.
So that when the prot is eaten you will have higher insuline levels to shuttle the proteine to your muscles. Although like i said i have no idea if this is true or that this is what i read.
I just remember somethinga bout it from the time that i wasnt really into bb-ing and knew nothing about diet.

it is a pretty old theory
it was believed that you should eat X before Y
and not X and Z at the same meal...

but we now know for sure that it is BS

X and Y theory by Mcgregor

Theory X is lazy , dislike's work, must be forced
Theory Y is hardworking, commitment to goals, moviated by a variety of rewards

Theory Z is a theory by Ouchi is a blend of Type A and J ,type A(AMERICAN) type J(Japanese) when both conbined this is the hybrid, the hybrid involves long term employement, collective decision makin, idividual responsibility

eh doofy are you talking out of your ass or are you being serious?

btw. love you posts man make man laugh. now that i think of it ill give you some karma :p

haha you brainiac your filling my head with bussines terms? All my training info is flying out the other ear making room for that crap. If i end up in the gutter it will be all YOUR fault. :D

i think it is true that the order of food consumed could
aid in digestion and health and as far as anything else goes related to muscle gain or fat loss i think is false. the body wasn't ment to take it in like this 9 as i believe nothing is ment to be through decision on behalf of a greater being eg. God) but through the
course of time it was difficult to retrieve different types of foods
at one time for hunters, like way way way way back. Our bodies are very
adaptable in our early years, so we can eat a lot of garbage
and get away with it. There is actually a type of eating where
you only eat certain foods with other certain foods and some foods must be eaten alone, such as melons and other fruit i beleive. I was always curious about alternative diets not usually used by body builders, but I soon lost interest as it is almost impossible for one to change to these bizzare diets.
I tried the above diet out for one day!!!! I actually got sick
off some apricots, and i have an iron stomach it never gets upset ironically. I know have seen the light and notice that you have to use a diet that you can stick with for long periods of time or a lifetime. In my opinion, if you eat the same shit everyday for the rest of your life you wil be extremely healthy as your body will adapt to only certain foods and therefore recognizing them everyday (timed also) and get all the benefits from them. There was a story I think on National Geographic on this one King or I donno forgot his name and status (sorry) but he ate the same shit everyday the majority of his life and one day he ate some other shit and died the next day.
His body must have registered the food as poison since it did not understand it. That sounds like BS but it's a story i heard and I think it is interesting. I canme up with an outrageous philosophy that just came into my head. If the body is so adaptable one may be able to get to a point where food is not needed to function properly. Starting at a a certain caloric level, and everyday dropping 1 calorie until you need no food at all. Sounds crazy , just an idea on a way to getting to a "foodless diet".There was suposedly a woman and/or a group of people who survived only on water and have been doing it for years now. I hope this post means something to you guys.. Don't think I am crazy and you will be lieing to yourself.
