Eating desserts when dieting-training and loose weight

So today i was talking to this chick that has been losing weight, 10lbs in two months, and she says desserts is a part of her diet. According to her she has been eating a 300cal dessert (any kind pie, chocolate, baggels etc) every day as long she keeps the usual diet healthy and within the caloeic intake she needs, also a good excersice routine.

My question is, is this possible? Because i have been conditioned to believe candy or any kind of desserts are out of the deal when trying to build a fit physique.

Whay do you guys think? Any experience about this issue?

Well she's obviously not doing keto. 300 calories isn't really a truckload and there's no reason a person with discipline couldn't work it in to their daily, if it was that important to them. There is also the possibility that the chick you talked to might just be doing an assload of cardio.

Yea, according to her, shes doing 3-4 days a week cardio. Also my wife says shes on the body for life program (watever that is) so im assuming that diet is based onthe premise of eating desserts.

But would it work if one wants to lose fat?

If it fits into your daily calorie goal, it will work. That doesn't mean its the best thing to do but it works.

Really? I have my doubts about it, but is good to know i can trade a snack for a lucious piece of pie every now and then ( i love cheese cake).
