Eating before cardio

As much as I'd like to be able to get up early every morning and do my cardio first thing - sometimes I just can't do it. So I'm wondering if anyone here has any thoughts on how long you should wait after eating a meal when planning afternoon cardio.

If you want the results bad enough, you'll do it. Pop a little caffeine or ephedra as soon as you wake up and you won't be able to function UNLESS you do cardio...

The optimum way to go is to have a fat/pro meal..before and after.

Yeah - all around, I think the AM is better...wakes me up for the day - whereas an afternoon session wears me down. Plus - a morning session gives me more time to rest before my next lifting day. That being said, sometimes the choice is either getting enough sleep to let my body recover or getting up and running - on those days I get that extra hour of sleep and go after work instead.

Thx for the meal suggestions. I'm following a CKD so the pro/fat meal isn't an issue - I'll make sure its 3hrs prev.

Have some coffee and get on the damn treamill.

This brings me to a good question - whats more important, getting as much sleep as your body needs to recover from lifting or doing cardio in the AM vs the PM.
