Eatin' at Work??

I am going to be getting a J-O-B soon (Lucky Me) but am wondering just how I will be able to eat every three hours and such.

I was hoping to get some of you knowledgeable and experienced workers to inform me of how you do it. What you eat, if you have to confront the manager, etc.

I eat at work all the time at my desk. My co-workers/mgmt sometimes teases me that I eat all the time but other than that I get no guff. When I make eggs, sometimes there are comments, but not usually. Rule of thumb: never, EVER, cook fish at work!! Stinks up the whole place. Now if I can just get the carb queens to stop making popcorn..............

I take a lot of food from home. Meat or fish sandwiches, and bowls of rice / pasta with in sauce which I cook up in bulk and add meat and fish (yes, the fish can smell, so depends on your collegues / situation).

Oh, and MRP's have become my friends, its difficult to eat solid food in work situations like meetings etc. but you can just about get away with an MRP while the others are drinking coffee...

I, too, eat at work...Every night I either cook up some chicken breasts or steak and the following day I take it with me. Sometimes when I can't cook due to sports or something, I'll take a few protein/carb bars with me with my ALA/ALCAR/CLA/EFA/R+ and take it with my meals. If my morning shake is at 7:30, my first meal will be 10:15, then 12:30-1, followed by 3:30 and when I get home I'll cook dinner 6ish and my final meal will be around 9 (normally tuna/salsa). Everyone will have a different schedule but if you're tight on time, bars will be the way to go, IMO

:)

I cook everything Sunday for the next week. I usually have to cook more a few days later anyway. I bring in a fairly large soft cooler to work. I got a few comments about it but they were just curious really. I get a 15 min brk in morning and another in the afternoon, and of course lunch. That usually gives me enough time to eat. If I dont finish, I just keep eating and work too.

You can also get some RTD protien shakes, but some of the best foods are tuna salad, chicken salad, chicken breasts, and black beans and rice (you can warm this up in a microwave). Hard boiled eggs are another good choice. Protein bars should be a last resort since they carry more sugars in them.

Got a mini fridge at my cubicle. I usually keep some salsa/mayo in there or a small tupperware w/ food from home. My drawer is packed with cans of tuna, chicken, and huge zip-lock bags of oats.

I use paper bowls/plates to keep from having to wash my dishes @ work.

Fill your drawers up with cans, snacks, water bottles, MRP's etc. And you'll always have something available to whip up.
