East Germans sue over Oral-Turinabol

Even if a 15 y-old was told what it was they still do not have the mental capacity to distinguish good from bad and certanly not back then when it was first introduced(especially without the research tools of today IE:internet etc...). For anyone to think that a 15 y old kid that juiced made a completley un-biased decision on they're own to use is crazy. The parties that administered these drugs to those kids should infact apologize and if desired by those individuals should in fact be prosecuted. No difference than being molested as a kid..........

The strategy worked. In the 1972 Munich Olympics, East Germany - a country of 17 million - reached the top three in the medals table with the US and the Soviet Union. Four years later, East German women won 11 of the 13 swimming events.

so Tbol works .......WELL....they set world records some still stand today ...im not saying it was cool to give them in high doses for extended periods or to women and some one so young for the most part this article shows steroids in a very negative way ..and most likely will end up as proof in the eyes of the uninformed that steroids are bad ...they dont seem to dwell on the facts ....how much where they taking how long did they take them (did they cycle or just pound them down for 4 years at a time) did they do any type of PCT or just go cold turkey before the games so they could pass the test ....

just my ramblings ... I still think Tbol and I are going to get along just fine

come on bro they sure indeed have options...
its this type of attitude in the u.s that leads to all these lawsuits..

i dont buy it for a second.
but hey..
its a GREAT scam.... and makes lawyers very rich too!

you must not be very familiar with the soviet and east german olympic training and recruitment programs, or you would not make such statements. There are very many places in the world where people have very limited choices. though in this case most of the children atheletes had no idea of what they were taking, thats no choice at all.

if you want to see a similarly rigid program, you should look at the chinese where recruitment takes place methodically (almost clinically) at as early as 5 years of age, from which point the children are taken into the program (a great honor, which is not to be refused). From then on they are essentially property of the state (they do live priveledged lives, as did the east german and soviet olympian hopefuls- but they are very controlled lives and its truly not a choice- for them failure is not an option either).

its true that many children in "free" countries experience that same kinds of pressure, mostly from parents and coaches. Though its not the same as the state making those choices and applying that pressure. JMHO.

This Makes AAS look bad because this was administered to pretty much "woman and children". Now "men" on the other hand not boys "men" and AAS is a different story. What it does show in a good light at the very least is that all these ppl are still alive.......

true....but things like this that have happened seem to be the only type of long term examples that the media will publicize ...as there is no controlled long term research going on..... the effects from this type use will be used against aas ....

"choices" and "options" are not words to be so carelessly used when describing com block athletes...or com block anything for that matter.

Side Note:

Oral T was Ben Johnsons steroid of choice. He admitted to using it and liking it saying that it was the shizzzznit . He claimed that he didnt like winny cuz it phuct up his joints and that he was not using winny when he tested positive and that someone had spiked him with it.
