I think most trainees, even steroid users do not reach there genetic limit. The human body is capable of amazing things.
In 8th grade I used to lift in my room, and I'd bench press on my own(stupid), and one day I decided it'd be smart to go for a max without my dad even in the house. Well long story short, I went for 240 and didn't get it, the bar was pinned on my chest, inching towards my neck. I screamed for help, and the only one there to help me was my mom. She not only lifted the bar, she freaking power cleaned it off me from an angle and tossed the bar across the room. My mom is about 5'4'' 125 lbs. and hasn't lifted anything heavier than an iron her whole life. Now that's getting close to your genetic limit.
