E-Z Curl Bar - How Much Does It Weigh

Ive always heard 20lbs, but never tested it myself.Always counted it as 20. But 20-25 is pretty close anyway since gym weights are far from accurate. I know the 45lb plates can be up to 3lbs off each, I even weighed some of them. Still I count it, Im not gonna weigh each plate everytime. haha =)

I looked into it... 4 out of 5 that I found were listed as 20 lbs, the other was listed as 18 lbs yet 15 kg at the same time

So... it should be 20 lbs.

We have 3 different E-Z curl bars at our gym and they're all different. I just tell our members they can weigh it on our scale if they like because I can never remember. Ours are anywhere from 12 to 20 puonds, depending on which one.

I'm not sure how much our bars weigh, that's why when I use them I will write the actual weight I put on the bar with a plus sign beside it in my log book.

and... this would be the bar shaped like:

yes?

:FRlol: :FRlol: Not sure what that shape is, but the EZ curl bar is the crooked bar as opposed to the straight bar. Has little grooves in it to place your hands, much easier on the wrists IMO.

hmm it didn't realy come out right...

ok then i know what you're talking about. it's got like a W shape on it. i use that to preach, doesn't hurt the wrists like you say.

then i'm lost as to what this bar that i've used to do triceps is called. it's like a fully rectangular thing with two vertical bars inside where you can press straight up with your triceps.

let me take another crack at the pic:

you hold onto the two things in the middle and the weights are on either side.

edit: the forum keeps fuckin up the pic :S

If so, it's just called a triceps bar.:)

And this one weighs 22lbs.

dont laugh, but.......

how do u do tri's with that?? lie down on a bench with that over ur head?

lie down on a bench, raise that over your head, then with your elbows pointing straight up, extend your arms outward.

they work nicely on a decline bench too

I love this thread...I always though it was 15 lbs...I guess this is why my weight was always off with the preset e-z curl bars...

If you use collars you have to count that weight also. Honestly I don't bother with the exact weight. I know how many plates I use for each exercise and go from there.
