The bicep branchii acts as a dynamic stabilizer for benchpress, and forearms help to transfer the weights to triceps, back and chest.

For squat and deadlift, calves are a synergist because they stabilize the lifter.

So how important is it to train forearms, calves and biceps in powerlifting. Obviously the stronger these small but important chain links are, the bigger lift a person can lift?

i think it is very important.

you do receive work from the compound movements...but i dont think enough

hell you can make a lot of progress if there are weak muscles in the "chain" and you strengthen them
