okey dokey, im looking at dvd players, but right now i don't want a good one, i want a starter model. I don't care if it breaks down in a year.


Does anyone own a Go Video DVP850? what other cheap model would anyone recommend due to 1st person experience.

bro I got a sony single DVD player for like $120 at circuit city. it works fine.

Yeah, there's deals all over the place. I'm getting a bullshit player from Wal-Mart for like $110.

I been searching too, but I want to get a surround sound deal with it. Found a nice Pioneer DVD, AVI with Cerwin Vega speakers for 600 at best buy couple months ago, but didn't have funds at the time.

Go with NB's suggestion. Sony's a good brand.

GoVideo is not.

Hey Nordstrom, I have that GoVideo DVP850 model dvd player. Got it as a gift this last Christmas. It's my first DVD player and works great. Has a bunch of features and I have not had a single problem with it. I don't know much about DVD players and really don't care much about features as long as it plays the movie. So overall I am happy with this model. I know there are better ones out there but like i said it was a gift and suits me just fine.
