So, I just got promoted. A nice step in the right direction for my career, but over the past year or so I have made about 1 workout per week on average. Very sad.
Before, I used to be religious about my training. Tues/Thurs evenings, and every Saturday morning. My weekend would be planned around my workout, it was a priority.
Now, I seem more tired, I work much longer hours, and the workouts get cut.
I made it today, but was 30 minutes later than usual, and did Squats, wide grip pull down, a few sets of curls, and that was all she wrote. I feel like I get fatigued faster.
I have a feeling some of this is ego, I still want to work out with weights somewhat close to what I used to do. I used to rep 185x10 no problem, 225 x 5 for 2-3 sets.
Now I rep 165 x 10 and feel beat. Its just not the same.
Eating was a serious thing for me too, I went out of my way to get added calories down, clean food, lean meats. Now I force myself to eat three full meals a day and rarely snack.
What do I do to get back into things, I know the potential is there, but how to I unlock it?
