Dutasteride & Finasteride (Proscar & Avodart) take together??

Hey, is it ok to take Dutasteride (aka Avodart) and Finasteride (aka Proscar) together? I'm MBP prone and already use Finasteride for 4 years. Doing 2-3 cycles a year. Is it ok to use both Finasteride and Dutasteride ? or is it totally useless?

I'm moving to Dutasteride from tomorrow (got a cheap nonprescription source), but now I wonder if I could just take them both ?

I'm no expert, but it seems to me taking both would be overkill.

How much for the nonprescription avodart?

Avodart is superior to Finasteride. Can't say for sure, but I would think that taking them both at the same time would decrease the effectiveness to the lowest dominator (finasteride). I say this because they work through the same mechanism. Avodart just does it better. Finasteride would compete against the Avodart and were it won would be less effective.

I would say kiss your sex drive goodbye if you combined the two. Dutasteride is supposed to be stronger, and the two combined is just superfluous. You don't want to completely get rid of DHT. It's quite necessary for controlling estrogen, libido function, and a host of other things.
