As far as I'm concerned, Ja Rule lost any respect when he let Eminem get away with doing a diss song......any self respecting rapper would have tracked him down and beat his behind on the spot....

I don't like east coast rap though, so it's a moot point......

I gave Em props for having a good flow, but his rap doesn't do anything for me. I don't relate to him or what he goes through, so he doesn't mean anything to me.

I'm saying that if Ja wanted to keep his respect he would have beaten Eminem on the spot the next time he saw him. That said, I don't expect it to happen and I don't really take either of them too seriously.

Bro.......I've been listening to rap music since '88.

When I started I listened to everything, but since I've gotten older I find that the Westcoast is just more to my liking. The beats are alot better and the rappers just have a style I prefer. I found my niche so to speak.

Now, most of my stuff is mainly from the bay area/Oakland.

After looking at the whole scene from a distance, I can't take the eastcoast rappers seriously.....they have nothing new to say. They recycle the same beats and messages over and over......it's played out.

Saw the new Will Smith video on Mtv and laughed......funny how people take a trend and run with it.......even Will Smith is incorporating the "Crunk" type beats in to his music......whatever happened to staying true and being creative?

Real artist don't steal trends, they make their own......
