my friend is joing the cnadian military reserves, do they search for gear or just standard drugs, like weed, cocaine etc,... any help would be great
drug testing for the miltary

The CF are not testing for AS for their "normal tests".
AS test will be only perform on the CO demands, and the only lab able to test for roids
its the OIC certified in Ottawa and the cost of it is around 1000$ each.
I was tested twice while on cycle and I alway came throught,
dont be affraid.
As for telling the recruiting officer at the interview, well you can go honet or shut up, if it was
only Pot I would say it, but for AS I would just shut up, better that way.

I am in the u.s army and when I was at the meps center just joining I heard people talking about what drugs they had done in the past .They all were scared about what to say and I told them to not say a thing UNLESS they had a criminal record that the army would find.You can be denied secret and top secret security clearances because of stuff like that .Your past should stay in the past as long as you WERE NOT CONVICTED OF A DRUG RELATED CRIME, OR ANYTHING CONCERNING MORAL PERPITUDE ,child molesters,lied under oath, and all the wild stuff!One female genius told the marine officer that "SOMEONE PUT LSD IN MY DRINK AT A PARTY?" I could not beleive what I was hearing! She has now told them her dirty laundry that ,once she gets out , can be accessed by any employer.You have to be on top of things and DO NOT VOLUNTEER TOO MUCH INFO once again if you know you have a hard record tell them and hell the army now takes "felons" from what I understand but I have not confirmed.The army and all the forces needed bodies that bad that they lowered their standard on a case by case basis! Tell your buddy all of the info everyone shared with you on here and once he gets tested and passes most people party on right up until they are at the airport getting ready to get on the plane. I saw folks smoking weed like fiends at the airport because you will go throug basic training and you will not get a drug test there due to the controlled environment.Once you are headed to the school that will teach you your speciality,AIT, THEN the suprise tests can happen because you will get a pass and have contact with the public so get some of the pre made drinks they sell at smoke shops or gnc when you reach the school because they will wake you up at 2 am and herd everyone in a room .Next they take you one by one and you fill out your social security number and put it on a piece of tape that once you go into the bathroom with your sargeant you piss into the cup and then outside you put on the label and off you go back to bed.If you cannot piss you will drink water and they even had people running in place to move things along.GOOD LUCK

WHAT BRANCH AND WHO TESTED YOU FOR "SUST & DBOL" THAT IS A PRETTY EXPENSIVE TEST AND FOR INIVIDUAL UNITS NOT UNLESS YOU WERE CAUGHT WITHIN YOUR UNIT OF YOUR AREA AND GOT POPPED FOR SEELING OR DISTRIBUTING MAYBE THEN MAYBE YOU WILL BE SUBJECT TO RIGOROUS TESTING, ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE TESTING YOU FOR DBOL AND SUST AND TRUST MOST OF THE MILITARY OR NAVAL DOCS AREN;T WELL INFORMED IN TRACES OF SUCH NANDROLONES OR CYPS OR WHATEVER TRACE OF TEST IS LEFT IN YOUR BODY, I SAY THIS BECUASE I WAS IN THE USMC AND IN MY UNIT THERE WAS A GUY THAT GOT POPPED FOR DISTRIBUTING SERIOUS...SERIOUS DISTRIBUTION AMONGST MILITARY PERSONNEL AND TO REALLY MAKE HIS LIFE MISERABLE THERE INTENTION WAS TO TEST HIM WHEN THEY FOUND OUT OF THE PROCEDURE AND THE AMOUNT IT WAS GOING TO BE THEY JUST CHARGED HIM WITH WHAT THEY KNEW...............ANYWAY DID YOU PASS THE TEST OR FAIL?

Was in for 8 0321/SRIG, Lss Fllores, Camp Pendleton
I was in the Army 8yrs., when there was a drug test they were only testing for one type of drug at a time. You could be snorting blow everyday, they could piss test you for Pot, you`d come up negative. When I went to MEPS and they asked me about drugs I told them I never did anything, yeah they tried the old "are you sure you never did drugs?" Just deny it. they`re not going to hook you up to any polygraph or anything.
