Dr.s accepting independent lab tests

Has anyone brought their own, independently done, lab tests into a Dr's appointment?

I'm on TRT through a local Urologist for 5-6 months now.
Still working through Test dosages with appointments and blood tests every 3 months.
Before my next appt in February, he has me in for lab work to test for Total Test, Prolactin, Hematocrit, and PSA.

Since this did not include everything I've seen recommended here at EF, I had testing done through PrivateMDLabs.com at the halfway point between my Dr.'s appts.

Some numbers he's not testing for related to TRT/HRT came back at less than optimal.
Should I bring that lab test with me to my Dr. or is he going to think I'm pushy? Fishing for something? etc...

By the way though, when he first prescribed Testosterone, it was based on a copy of a blood test I brought in that my Primary Dr. had done, but took no action on, so that may answer my own question.

I'm just curious about other's thoughts and experience.

heck yea bring it... one issue the dr have is getting the insurance companies to pay for the testing, but if you have it they can use that data as a reason to run additional tests and say "according to test results dated XXXX it indicates that more testing is needed to facilitate patient care.."

that is until king obama's plan goes into effect..

Good point. Thanks. Hadn't thought about it like I'm doing him a favor.
Every time I've been into this Dr. the insurance company has declined the tests and prescriptions until he calls them and convinces them he knows what he is doing.
By the time I drive to the Dr in another town, pay for parking, haggle with the insurance company regarding what tests are covered and which aren't, and pay Quest Labs for the ones that weren't, it was cheaper to just order the whole shooting match from PrivateMD and go to the local LabCorp.

Don't EVEN get me started on ObamaCare ....
