Your period comes early mine is a week freakin early this never happens. I missed my pill Saturday took the two on Sunday got my period yesterday. It could also be the trip to the gyno on Friday that made it come earlier either way I hate it.

YES.

Once I skipped my sugar pills so that I wouldn't get my period on vacation. Well, I managed to not get it while I was on my trip, but I had it for 28 days straight once that week was over. What joy.

Holy shit, I didn't see that this was in Women's Discussion Board. Yes, I will make sure to check that from now on :worried:

Yeah, when I've gone through hormonal changes (BC or otherwise), I've gotten it a few times in a row. It starts to feel like it's never going to end.

Wait til you have some kids. You bleed for weeks.

Yeah but the whole point of being on the pill is to keep you regular no? That and zero population growth. Either way I am bloated as hell always have a shitty work out the first day of my period.

Well, it does pass. (Then there are diapers.)

It's the wound made when the placenta separates from the uterus. I'd had no idea. 'Course, that was nothing compared to the episiotomy.

You don't have to take the sugar pills. It won't kill you not to have your period. They just give you that week to make you feel "normal"....as if you'd miss your special friend. lol

I think I'd cry if I had that for a month. I'd be bitchier than usual. ;)

I have heard that before, but I dunno if I believe it. Skipping the sugar pills twice screwed me up royally both times. Maybe there's an "adjustment" period I was not willing to wait for, but my body didn't think it was funny at all and exacted a bit of revenge... and then some.

It's my understanding that the sugar pills are there only to make sure that you stay in the habit of taking the pill every day (you can actually get packs without the sugar pills, which just have 21 pills, and you just resume the next pack a week after taking the last pill). I used to not take mine, and it never screwed up my cycle. I eventually started taking them again, just because I would get out of the habit, and then sometimes forget to take one of the real pills. I'm thinking your experience may have been unrelated to your not taking the sugar pills (just a coincidence, that is).

Yes. They serve no purpose except to force a period (no hormones in them) and to keep women consistently taking a pill at the same time everyday.

BUT....if you are on a multi-phasic pill (varying amounts of hormones from week to week) check with your DOC about missing the placebo pills. It isn't a good idea to alter the way prescription meds are taken without talking to your DOC.

I'm on a mono-phasic pill and I typically don't take them. Sometimes I will, for assuagement.....the pregnancy issue.
