Don't usually post . . .but I had to. . .

I don't typically post because I don't feel I have anywhere near the experience to advise anyone . . .but I'm pretty sure this is wrong.

I was at the gym, in the locker room, the other day getting ready for my workout. Then a guy walks in who I had never seen before. He was about 40ish with a massive gut. He sits accross from me and takes out a shaker, and protein powder. This was not unusual. He then proceeded to pull a miller light out of his bag and mix the beer and the powder.

I just needed to let someone know about this.

I feel better now.

thanks.

No it was more of a stunned silence. I will admit that I couldn't make my lifts that day because of it.

LoL, make sure you post it in the "morons in the gym" thread too....classic....

LOL. At least he was trying to be healthy by using a Miller Lite.

This blows overweight women drinking full-calorie soda while doing their ultra-slow cardio out of the water.

I don't know if this would qualify as Moron in the gym. Like the above posts noted . . he could be on an cutting diet!?!

I saw someone bringing a Beer Store bag into the gym as I was leaving, wonder if it was the same guy

I can sympathize with the guy. I mean, I could probably rationalize that somehow to sound like a good idea. Once. I just can't mix alcohol and exercise. I know guys who can get lit and then play football, but it saps the energy right out of me.

funny shit right thre.

Thats friggin dedication....

A story of my own.... this dude comes in reaking of alcohol, he works in concrete and must have had the afternoon off, drunk a case and came into the gym in his work clothes... He was a decent sized dude, meaning actually worked for a living, threw 315 on the bar, layed down, put his feet up on the bench, unracked the weight before someone grabbed it and re-racked it... I don't know why I sat there and watched it go down but had to tell the gym owner to get this dude outta there...

I live right down the street from the local "AA" hall and needless to say, I saw him coming in and out on occasion... must have got popped...

Still that's a fucked up story...

I've had a shot or two in a post-workout shake. But i've only done that a couple times, and it's right before i go out for the night: college life. But beer? at the gym? wtf? i could never drink and then lift, those things just dont belong together
