took all his reps with the first team...

hahahaha, SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET

I think it's a bad call to start him though.......mark it down.

bad call? it's like vick missing a few games and not starting him.. he's your best player...

donovan is hands down the teams best player... he's the only player on the offensive side of the ball that can take over a game and win it single handedly..... i'd rather go with a half healthy don than aj or koy at his best... remember, i went through the doug pederson "manage" the game bullshit.....

donovan single handedly brought htis team to the forfront... this is his team, adn god damnit i want to see the superbowl that means something to me.

If AJ had a good game last week against NY then I would be shaky about who to start, but that is not the case, AJ hasnt shown any flashes of brilliance to me, sure he played good enough to win games but nothing so impressive to start him over a mcnabb that is 90%. The Eagles offense looked like shit last week. Gotta go with Donovan!

...I do think it's a bad call b/c the Eagles won more games with him than without him, he will be rusty and not up to game speed.

btw - Falcons win the first playoff game in the history of Lam.

not too sure that you typed this in right.

Falcons 24
Packers 17

yep...I meant that they won more games when he was sidelined......

I was think similarly.....28-24 Falcons

i think if he is able to play, they will start McNabb....IMO, the defense has been key in bringing in the wins since he had been hurt.

If McNabb says he feels fine then you give him the ball. I have so much confidence in this guy in the playoffs. They can still win with Feeley or Detmer (but the whole team has to step up) but Mcnabb brings that something extra that even if the running game aint working or the receivers drop some passes, they still have that chance to win.

AND WHAT DID I HEAR???? RUSTY??? This is Mcnabb we are talking about..the guy is in game shape year round...even with 8 weeks on the sidelines the guy will come in at 110%. Bet ya they lauch one downfield on the first play of the game...

Dude - he will not be used to game speed play after being out for that many weeks.......has nothing to do with his physical conditioning

Only time will tell...i've seen many athletes come back and play like they never missed a beat...funny how everyone is second guessing a guy who threw 20-25 250 yards passing with 4 td's on a broken ankle...

Again - its not a question of ability.....it's about timing being off.

no offense corn.. but you dont know this team...

they practice at a faster pace than any team in the league.. it's as close to game speed as possible.. and you know what? he goes up against a GREAT secondary... the corners and safeties are easily better than the wr's.... that helps get timing down...

i'd like to see a 90% mcnabb... it's the michael jordan syndrom... ya know how he exploded EVERY FUCKING TIME HE WAS HURT OR SICK?!?!?! well, he always said he had to focus more... and if don is focused... oh god, look out league...

when the eagles win the superbowl, i may just have to drive to philly... just to be there for the parade... to be a part of it...

and just so we are clear... the eagles were 7-3 with him... first place, and already handled the bucs like little kids... they were not sitting as pretty as they are now (1 seed) but they were top 3 at the time.

feeley didnt do anything to win the rams game.. or the giants game... and in fact, he made a lot of bad decisions against dallas and the skins... donovan is better and gives the team a better chance to WIN on offense instead of playing raven ball (dont lose).

just my opinion though... (it's fucking fact!!!!)

We'll see.....

btw - what do you consider to be a good game from him in terms of yards, completion % and TDS?

"He threw the ball very well. He looked like the old Donovan,'' wide receiver Antonio Freeman said after Thursday's session. "It was a rejuvenated feeling to have him. We gained an advantage today, we gained an edge.''

antonio said that.. i think it's huge... a team that went 5-1 without it's star.... and they get an edge now??? their spirits are lifted???

good game from donovan? i dont think it's completion % or touchdowns.. it's giving the offense an added deminsion (i cant spell)... few 3 and outs... and having the D second guess what is coming on 3rd and short... or getting a corner to look back at mcnabb as he scrambles... it's that little extra oomf needed to bring him down.... it's making the d respect everything.. making them not stack up against duce and dorsey... he is the most valuable player in the league... despite what they did without him... this offense is not the same without him... no matter what people may think.. i've watched ever game for 7 years... i've never seen a leader like him in an eagle uniform.. he has "IT"!!! you know, IT!!!! what elway did with denver, and kelly with buffalo.. favre with gbay and aikman with dallas... donovan is going to do all that and more.

just his presence on the field will make a difference in a game, teams have to change their defenses around him, whether he is coming off an injury or not, they have to play him as if he is 100%, whether he is or not. The giants might have beaten the eagles in week 17, but its a totally different ball game when Mcnabb is in. If we see NY in the playoffs they will have to use a totally different defensive strategy then what they used against AJ feeley. It will be a different game.

LMAO

Way to commit.........D will throw for 15% no td an interception, the Eagles will still win and MB will claim it's b/c D was back....

When Don was injured during that game, didn't he finish the game? And didn't the Eagles win?

If he did, then why would anyone be against him starting now, at the very least he's healed (although not completely).

I'm merely suggesting that he can play on a broken leg/ankle? and still win a game. If he doens't produce during during the game yank him! Simple as that. But he's their No.1 man(both contractually and talent wise) and ready to play, you gotta start him.
