oh she leaves puppy poop adult size everywhere.........its carpet
that sucks... u have to take a paper towel and put it on top of the piss and push into the piss, put that towel in a trashbag, new towel, push on the piss, keep doing it untill all the piss is absorbed, then scrub with anti bacterial

damn its getting bad. any good ways to get rid of it?? besides getting rid of the dog lol
Dog pee is bad if you don't catch it THE MINUTE it happens otherwise it seeps in and there's usually so much that it goes all the way to the subfloor. The REAL issue is if there's decent hardwood floors under the carpet, that piss will F*CK up your floors, I'm sorry for being vulgar, but it will literally turn the wood black and they'll never be right. And they'll stink.

You cannot get that odor completely out without taking up the carpet where it happened; if it's somewhere near an edge or a corner, not so bad. If it's in the middle of the carpet major PITA and you might have to spring to get the carpet restretched (not a bad investment in the life of the carpet, actually). If you have hardwood floors this is just not optional though, you just can't get enough of the moisture up to keep the floor from being ruined. If you think about this you'll see it makes sense.

Once the carpet's up you attack the HELL out of the wet spot on the floor, and through and though the carpet and pad with an enzymic cleaner, and don't skimp, you really should buy quality stuff for this. After you've used the enzymatic cleaner and it's done the best it can, rinse with 1/2 clear vinegar, 1/2 water solution. The carpet can't go back down until everything is utterly dried or you'll trap moisture and end up with mold.

Wish you all the best of luck, m'man. Been there, had pups ... now years later I'd like to refinish my floors and if TSP doesn't work, it's gonna be dark walnut dye (not stain). A real crime, they're 80+ yr. old pine with oak inlay :bawling: Freaking dogs cost me $5k to $10K, easy.

I think petzyme works well for taking out the smell. But oxyclean works well if there's a stain. 2 different issues. Natures Miracle is okay for cleaning up messes too.

yeah ive seen natures miracle just never tried it...im looking at steamcleaners now....ive got a $50 bestbuy gift card i guess ill put towards one lol

God it's been so many years. I have this stuff called X-O but I have cats and hardwood floors and only had one accident. About.Com recommends Nature's Miracle ... the vinegar rinse is actually pretty important. Remember not to use bleach or ammonia, it's going to make the smell 100% worse.

After cleaning i would think you could use an electric sander to remove that affected area.

We've never finished the floors so I have no idea how deep it goes. The floors are a honey brown pine and there are a couple of spots that are black :worried: You can only sand so much you know?

It's on our list ... we were going to sell and have decided to just hold on a few more years. Dyeing the wood dark walnut is a "worst case scenario" solution. Would look pretty good with the color scheme/design we're planning on going with.

It's weird though, pee that's soaked into carpeting; if you don't really clean it right to the subfloor and give everything proper time to air out, it's almost like it never dries -- revolting
