I'd buy something a little new than 88. Honda make good car but I wouldn't by a car more than 10 years old even if I am trying to save money. I don't want a car to break down on me after 6 months. Too many things just start wearing out when a car gets that old.

But if you are driving around in an 88 Honda Accord any women you get will be with you in spite of your car.

I think the car should matter to yourself.

So if you drive a piece of shit, are you going to feel less about yourself? Probably yes.

Drive something that makes you feel good about yourself, whether it makes you look good, or saves you money, or protects your family.

I drove a ford explorer and a firebird so you know. gave my brother the explorer as a christmas present as he has a 4 year old. the firebird i bought thinking it was a cool car that drove fast. it sucked. I really don't care what others think about my ride and am actually sick of my car already.
