Because accordinto HG WELLS some guy travelled to 800,000 AD... And in that temple those guys EAT normal looking people. And I AM EATING MEAT NOW! Mutated people raising other people to eat them, like cattle...

Usually I do not beleive in prophecies. But it makes me wonder.... Ok, according to that guy (HG WELLS) guys who live underground for so long have mutated into some freaks. Animals are gone and the guys under earth have to eat some meat. So they control all the machinery and give it to the guys on the top in exchange for those guy's flesh.... ewww...

Well before 1999 many people decided to go and live underground because this "nuclear war" was supposed to happen. Many still live underground just in case. Is it possible that this catastrophe going to happen and even more guys live underground fpor protection, while animals on the top die? If so HG WELLS is true... It seems reasonable... Comet or nuclear bomb strikes in 21-22 century and the cataclysm is so great that most humans die and eventurally all animals go extinct. People become primitives again (remember every infrastructure is no more). Humans split in 2 groups. 1 group decides to live ON THE GROUND. Other groiup lives safely underground for more protection (against dust and so on, who knows). Eventully guys on the bottom mutate in those freaks... Notice the size of the eyes! definately for night/dark viewing



And how can the writer know fate of earth/sun in millions of years? In 1895 when the book was published people did not know about sun running out of fuel and enlarging until it devastates earth completely...

So how would the people on top be normal? After all you would have nuclear fallout with extremely high levels of radiation for many years to come.
