Does Sex lower Test level?? Myth or Fact?

Does bustin a nut lower ones test level? I have had sex before a workout and it seems that i am not as strong, actually kinda feel winded lol. But on the contrary, I have also heard that sex actually increases ones level if not done for an extended period amount of time. Just want to get peeps feedback on this one. Thanx

hell yes it does. Sometimes when i do it before the gym i dont even make it there :( . i dont do it before anymore.

Some old timer baseball guy, Durocher or whoever it was, once said something like, "It ain't the sex, it's the stayin' out all night lookin' for it that gets 'em". Anyway, no matter how much research is put into this, the fact is that general statement viewed on several levels tells us 95% of the deal.

Fact is, if you're taking any kind of steroid, any theoretically possible diminishment of test levels is so miniscule in proportion to what is being exogenously supplied that it's hardly worth considering. Even if you're not, the truth is some olympic athletes will bust a nut right before lining up in the starting blocks or whatever and some will abstain for weeks, so who's to say?

Same with boxers. Some will isolate themselves from women (De La Hoya for instance) and some don't give a sh*t. Then we can look at the fact that some of the best athletes in history screwed like rabbits.

That's all anecdotal evidence of course, but I state it because there is very little scientific evidence that sex diminishes test levels. I've even heard that the key is to have about 3 orgasms a week, and that much more or less is less than perfect for ideal health.
 
I always catch a stroke before I lift, and yes I wash my hands.

As far as railing your old lady before, that can be tiring and leave you vulnerable to a highly detrimental and under-researched side effect called "pillow talk".

not lower your overall test level, but try going to the gym afterwards as compared to going to the gym not having sex yet. You'll definitely see a difference.

Sex and spanking your monkey are too diff things. Sex is how I get my cardio, and after an hour of fuckin, I'm out like a baby. You do more work when you have sex then just beating it.

Very close....thei have been studies of college men, I know Cornell did one. Test levels were lowered post sex (or masterbation) except in guys who enjoyed themselves more often during the week. Its like eating a lot of small meals and your body doesn't store as much fat because it knows more food is on the way. Those who orgasm more often do not disturb the system as much as the guys who blow it once a week.

Really though, you have to take most studies of that nature with a grain of salt. Sometimes when we say X, Y, Z diminishes testosterone by such and such percent, in reality the amount we're talking about is quite likely representative of about 5% or less of what many guys on here administer in a day. Sort of like all the talk over the past 5 or so years about how taking such and such raises GH by 500%. Obviously testosterone's a little bit different since GH production is so miniscule in adulthood, but nonetheless I'm of the mind that studies of that nature tend to make a big deal about very little.

Even the example you mentioned about not storing fat when you take in smaller meals- that also has been discounted in some studies if I'm not mistaken. I'm not saying those studies are necessarily correct, but I'm just throwing that out there.

Basically, there's so many variables and so many ways data can be manipulated with this topic that it's hard to make a judgment based on much more than anecdotal evidence and common sense.

I sure would like to be in one of those studies. They can set me up to fail. I will attempt to have sex with as many women as they throw at me. Fuck it if my test drops for a few days. With my luck, the girls would look like oprah or rupaul though so I retract my previous statement. Maybe I will just dream about it and go tug one out! :p
