Does Marijuana ruin lives and entire societies?

I hate to tell you that they are both plants and burst your bubble...lol. Both are plants with the same carcinogenic compounds.

please do not tell me they are both plants. re read my post i said you can remove all vegetable matter. the vegetable matter contains the carcinogens.

Okay, I think you are just nuts, really. You can't remove all the carcinogens from pot. Vegetable matter? I think you have some vegetable matter between your ears if you think you can remove the carcinogens from pot. Believe whatever you want, though. It's your lungs, dude.

ignorance is bliss.

He is very biased. That dude's life mission is MJ legalization.

uummmm, he is the one who originally hypothesized the link to cancer with marijuana in the 70s. the goal of his most recent study was to find a direct link. how is that bias?
"It is Tashkin's research that the Drug Czar's office cites in ads linking marijuana to lung cancer. Tashkin himself has long believed in a causal relationship, despite a study in which Stephen Sidney examined the files of 64,000 Kaiser patients and found that marijuana users didn't develop lung cancer at a higher rate or die earlier than non-users".

seriously hr, weak arguments all around here, especially for a lawyer. your personal experience is one thing and i feel bad for what you went through, but mom being a cig smoker might have had a PROFOUND effect on her developing lung cancer. also, you are completely wrong about tashkin.

yes you can its called hash there is no vegetable matter in hash or kief. so technically its not pot at this point. you are no expert in this field i am. so pleas stfu!

you use bubble bags and water filter it down with up to a 300 micron screen leaving nothing but thc. collect it dry it smoke it. there is no plant matter at this point.

you can even take it to the next level and not even burn the hash. you can vaporize it. im not expecting you to understand any of this though...

yeah, because I'm not a delusional pot head. Why don't you wave a magic wand and sprinkle some fairy dust, too.

I love how every person who ever disagrees with me has some jab about me being a lawyer. I saw that dude on TV before and he was a bigtime pot proponent. He seemed FAR from unbiased.

maybe its because after dedicating his life to studying it, he sees it is not the terrible thing he helped make it into with his earlier studies.

as for the lawyer quote, your reply to the study i posted by "the weed doctor" in america was, hes biased. without any prior knowledge about him. thats weak. your info on the 1 joint = a pack a day, he helped push that belief.

The cancer thing should be easy to study. Find people who DO NOT smoke ciggs, but do smoke marijuana regularly and track the incidence in of lung cancer in that group as compared to a) non smokers b) cigg smokers only c) cigg and MJ smokers.

I used to smoke a lot but quit a few years back when i had to quit the booze/oxycontin/coke/etc. Its interesting to observe some of my friends now who would be considered pot heads. Aside from the obvious health issues (nobody smokes only keif, its usually an occasional treat) HR's experience is from her loved one's lives being severely diminished over time.

The lives of my younger friends for instance, none of which have kids, outside of work, here are the options for every night.

1. We are going to watch a movie = smoke pot, sit around TV
2. We are going out to eat = smoke pot, go out and stuff faces
3. We are going out to eat and then watch a movie = smoke pot, go out and stuff faces, come back and smoke more pot, then sit around TV.
4. We are going out to see a movie = smoke pot, go to theatre.

This is it, this is their lives. Are they stress free? Probably. If they had dependents would they be neglected? Probably.

I'm NOT passing judgment on pot smokers in general, i have no right to pass judgment on anyone, this is just what i've personally seen.
