Does Marijuana ruin lives and entire societies?

Yes. Not wanting a habitual illegal drug user around your family or business is the same thing as being a bigot.
would you not allow a steroid user to work for you, hang around your children, or date a family member?

My dad says the exact same thing about African American's and homosexuals.

And what I tell my dad applies to you. That opinion shows gross prejudice and ignorance about the groups you are discriminating against.

There's a limit for everything. Do you honestly think a chronic pot smoker at their best beats a straight-edged person at their best? IE I'm sure all the Olympic athletes would've performed much better had they incorporated a steady usage of pot into their daily training regimen. I'm sure we would've kicked even more ass in WWII and other military engagements had the soldiers toked up when things got too stressful. I'm sure doctors would perform surgery with far fewer errors and much better judgment if they have some THC in their bloodstream. And so on and so forth right down the line to the lowest common denominator.

Bottom line is, if someone wants to smoke pot, they have to rightfully expect to be overshadowed by their sober counterparts. It's just common sense.

how do you know Im not african american lestat?

thank you jnevin

plus people who buy weed buy it from a DRUG DEALER. a great person to know is your local drug dealer...

you are dating my sister "hey sarah I need to get more weed before tonight, lets meet up with my drug dealer so I can get the hook up"

nothing like having a drug dealer cell contact or going to a drug dealers place or having he/she coming to your place of residence.

you are just a loser who is in denail with a drug problem who fails to realize weed is illegal for a reason.

we are not comparing booze vs weed.

you also have not answered my previous questions, but I'll give you one more.

Would you be ok with someone who was a daily drinker (say a beer or two after work most days) working for you? around your kids? or dating your sister?

A beer or two doesn't get 99% of the population drunk Lestat. You're comparing apples to oranges. These substances aren't even in the same chemical family.

When did I say you were an African American??? I don't know your ethnic background, nor do I care.

You make lots of assumptions about people you don't know. In Calfornia you can get your weed from a store, not a drug dealer. I get mine from a friend who grows his own (legally). Is he a drug dealer? I suppose technically he is, but I doubt he lines up with the conceptual idea of a drug dealer you imply in your post.

Well what are we talking about here?

Are we talking about the legality of it? That is one issue.

Are we talking about the effects and their relative strength? That is another issue.

Are we talking about the negative effects that each can potentially have? That is yet again another issue.

If someone doesn't like weed simply because its illegal, then I understand that completely. I have friends in law enforcement who have asked politely that I never possess it around them or bring it in their car/home. I respect this because unless I have a medical marijuana card, it is indeed illegal. By taking this stance, you imply, however, that if it was legal, you'd be ok with it is.

If you are talking about the relative effects of it, its dosage and individual dependent. Its also highly subjective depending on what you are measuring. Personally for me, if I had to choose to hang out with someone who was intoxicated from booze over someone high on weed, I'd choose the later, but that is my personal preference and I don't expect everyone to agree.

If we're talking negative effects. I weigh the ones from alcohol as worse, HOWEVER, since alcohol is legal, we have more data on the effects of alcohol and far far less on weed, so I admit there is an imbalance there as well.

what an insult to everyone who has never smoked pot yet are "overshadowed" by those that do!

I can't control what a family member does. But even though I've used them in the past, I wouldn't hire someone that was obviously a regular steroid user. It's not a good image and I wouldn't hire someone that has sleeves of tats and multiple piercings. That shit doesn't fly in my industry. I also wouldn't want a user around my daughter I guess. I feel pretty hypocrytical saying that because I have used them before, but having her has made a lot of things change for me.

It's been 2+ years since I used them. How long since you were high?
