well as far as the addiction goes, its just as "addictive" as say using the internet, or sweets. It can be powerful in that regard (psychological) but it doesn't come close to nicotine in terms of physical dependence.

And the drug lords make far more cash on hard drugs than they do weed, and California (and other state's) liberal laws that allow people to produce it (for medicinal purposes) are already cutting into profits.

i;ve noticed that most of the weed smokers here are upper middle class professionals

i guess it must be an analomy, since weed causes so much destruction like giving a woman a passion to open a business!!
oh the horror!!
personally, i'm no better or worse without weed.
i only smoked about a 1/4 a month, so the cost was never an issue...i feel the same sober for mulitple months as i did stoned for 10 yrs

Ummmm...she didn't open a business. She just ripped the carpet up and burned it in the front yard because she had a fleeting thought that she wanted to put a salon in her house. She had had many salons before, but she had zero capital for a salon. All she did was rip up the carpet without thinking and then had to walk around on subflooring. Not a good idea. Lots of drama, though.

btw, i consider myself a bum. a lazy, usually-good-for-nothing bum. weed makes it worse, but obviously doesn't cause it. the best thing about weed is the sex. there's also experience enhancement, but i never enjoy that as much as i should. almost everything about weed is bad for me, in very fundamental ways. but it suits my sedentary or reclusive lifestyle. i smoked like a fiend while i've got some, and then go months without. i have no need to think of it as good or helpful because i do it, but i still disagree with a number of things said in this thread (as always). this discussion has so many facets, and EF (or the world) is rarely the place to get anywhere with them (the same cunts saying the same thing). it's very unlikely that you'll hear something new. if you want to really get somewhere, a different approach is necessary. unfortunately, i don't think there's anywhere to get to when talking about these issues on the 'net, but that depends on your desire for doing so in the first place.
