Dballer... Correct me if I am wrong... but I think the chip he is referring to will change the shift points, timing, and EFI. I don't think he can change them w/ the set up you described and add a chip[ to.. the chip is programmed to work w/ or offset the factory settings. I don't think he needs both as he was suggesting in his previous post.

Those chips (I think) are only for air/fuel. They do not do anything for the transmission shift points.

For the price of just the chip you can get the whole package. All ya need is a laptop.. then you can do your friends cars and make all the cash back!!!

Yeah I wasn't sure how the Dodge stuff works... I know the Diablo chip that we had burned for my buddies new Lightning controls everything.. We had to tell them all the mods that were done (new blower pulley, new air induction, exhaust changes, and everything) before they would burn the chip.... and that truck shifts at a different point and much much harder now.... he was going to get the pc program that you were taking about.. but he nor I have a laptop.....

The chip he has now is 4way. It has economy, street, strip (program for racing fuel), and a 100hp NOS setting.

I saw them reprogram a Dodge truck on Horsepower TV... it looked easy.. and they said the thing to do it with only costs about $400... so I could buy one of those.. do my car or truck.. then do a few side jobs.. bamn!! It pays for itself. Plus.. you can reprogram when you are about to go on long trips to help boost fuel economy.

This also is less expensive in the long run... since you can change the setting everytime you add or delete a parts insted of have a new chip burned. $400 is alot better than $299 per chip. my buddy is on his 3rd chip now.

Fuck, 3 chips!?! Is he made of money?? Priorities I guess huh?

Yeah.. he loves that damn truck...he has already changed the head and tail lights, new exhaust from the heads to the tailpipe,
the chips, new blower pulley, air raid induction system, cool can for the intercooler, ported throtle body and intake, and many others...

has is not scared to spend $$$ on that truck that's for sure..

i'd like to shell out the $$$ for the Xenon head lights, but fuck, too damn expensive!! I like the look of the white light and all, but jeeeeeeezus christ are they expensive. The dealer said he could get them for me at $300 each. He said I would have to replace the whole light housing and not just the bulb. I don't know if he is feeding me shit or what. I do know they use the clear plastic cover, I have the cover that isn't clear. I don't know what to call it. I have straights from the cats back. 3" aluminum pipe. Goes to chrome "rolled tips" the ends are rolled inward, look sharp as hell.

The headlights cost him about $400 for both. We had to replace the whole headlight housing. It looks much better than the old headlights.
