my TV wont' turn on. it just happened last night. i have no friggin clue what's going on, but i can hear it make that snapping sound like it just came on, but it will immediately shut off in about 2 seconds. has this happened to anyone else? if so did you fix it or just get a new one? thanks

TV's, VCR, CamCorders etc have become disposable items..

Unless this TV is a very high end one (over $200 value) it will
probably cost you more to repair it than it's worth...

Sounds like the picture tube is gone...

Yep it's called the TRASH CAN!

if it is a RPTV, could be a relay capacitor...Sometimes they just burn out...Same thing happend to me a few years back..Costed me 150 dollars U.S.......Like 1 dollar for the part, 149 for the tectnician to come to my home.....

lol. nope, it's just a tube. i was hoping i could just unscrew the casing and flip a switch or something lol. i guess i'm gonna have to cancel cable then. i can't afford another tube :(

I would be carefull with taking the case off
there are capacitor in there that hold a lot of juice
for days.. And I aint talking dbols either

agreed.

fixing TV's = buying a new one

TV repair shops are fronts for drug dealing and terrorist organizations.

Is that so? i should have been jailed along time ago.
