hey!! yes i am bulking right now and the tuth is i have really packed on some fat..n i was just wondering if training to tone and define muscle a good idea to allow more definition without goin on a cutting cycle? ie. 21's light wieght more reps, light cardio. i find that ona cutting cycle i loose too much muscle therefore making me feel.hmm..rather more..depressed!so ya thx greatly appreciated!
 
if Im understanding you right, youre saying that youre gaining too much fat and you want to tone without cutting right? A cutting cycle is where you reduce your caloric intake in order show muscular detail. A bulking cycle is just the opposite of that. I've preserved my muscle mass when cutting by gradually reducing my calories, carbs , proteins, fats( ...I limit saturated). Out of these, I keep my protein 1-2lb per lb of body weight, and as for the fat, I keep them high..mono and poly for joints.(flax seed oil)is good ...do a search on this also. As for training, when dieting(cutting) you will lose a little strength, thats expected, but continue to train intensely. Youre still building muscle ...light weights dont do that effect. The trick is finding your right caloric number. This take practice and no one can do this for you. What ever your caloric intake is, subtract 100-200 cal form that total for 2weeks. If you havent lost 1lb,keep subtracting 150 per wk (keeping the protein up though) until the desired effect is achieved. Losing more than two pounds a week is considered unhealthy. Start cardio 3x a week 20 min. sessions each. Hope this helps
