Does anbody else NOT have a date for Vday?

Hmmmmmmmm, don't know........ I'll have to check with my husband.....he might be busy....

I have an anatomy test that night, and a lab test the next morning... so I don't have time for a date on the actual day of the 14th. But, I do get to spend the weekend with my gf, does that still count? Eh well, I've been single for 2 straight years until a month ago, I deserve some nookie by god :)
 
I think i might go to Bingo night and try to pick up a Senior.. i hear they're crazy....

and experienced.. HAppy V-day to me!

I was thinking something along those lines. lol. the only problem is if you take a girl out on 'valentines' than she automaticaly thinks she is your girlfreind and will be calling you off the hook. I cant be having that!!
 
We don't have anything special planned. A couple in our neighborhood are "Holiday Queers", meaning every single holiday that comes along is celebrated to the max.

:drama to the max:

For V-Day they want some of us to attend this candle lit dinner on the beach. each person has a dozen roses in front of them for a name card holder. The table and chairs are set up in the sand. And then go to Miami and check into this new hotel there and stay on the top floor, drink champagne half the night, then retire to the jacuzzis. This doesn't count the limo to brunch in the morning, the spa treatment at noon and the massage for couples they have planned out.

Makes you sick doesn't it? Especially since these two do nothing but quarrel amongst themselves the other 364 days of the year.

We won't be going along with that shit. So we may just stay home (at his house) and have 3-4 more friends over for a cookout. Yeah, you can do that this time of year in South Florida.

No special plans here. I've never been a big V-Day fan. I use the other 364 days of the year to show the special person in my life how much I love them. :)
 
One guy will be away on business Sat afternoon till Wed so we have tentative plans on Thr.

The next guy who I *may* line up for Vday will be calling me back. We had tentative plans on Sun eve but I had to cancel to watch my sis' kids so she and her hubby can go out.

My exbeau hasn't mentioned it yet. We are all going out to dinner tomorrow nite (me, him and the kids) and we are not technically together again so I dont feel the need to sweat him about it.

The guy I would really like to go out w (I think)... I just put the ball in his court about getting together for drinks.

The cop hasn't rung me since I texted him how I was giving up sex w/cops for Lent. He is probably laying low till AFTER Vday. Bastard REALLY REALLY pissed me off. Is only making it worse for himself.

I will most likely end up training clients. Too much pressure.

I really dont want any of them... I mean, I dont think I do. So until I decide I will just keep touch until either they lose interest, or I do.

I really only want to be with my exbeau... I think.

But until I am sure, NOBODY gets play. I am really tired of the bootycall bullshit.

Honestly, I go on like gazillions of "first dates". I still got a guy calling me even though I very nicely tried to blow him off 2 weeks ago. He was nice, but honestly, he isn't my type. I am not attracted to him.

I have two other guys that I could call and go out with no problem. But I really would rather just train clients.

I lose interest very quickly.
 
For all i care V-Day can be ripped off the calendar doused with lighter fluid and burnt until nothings left!

Come guys... I actually LOVE Valentine's Day. Always give/get gifts for my kids. I never gave a man I loved a store-bought valentine. Always make them from construction paper.

I was going to make one this year for my exbeau seeing as how we are talking again, but then since it is near the day and he hasn't mentioned it to me... why ON EARTH should I bother?

I look forward to the day when I can resume the construction paper valentine making shtuff, but till then I will be satisfied to be alone.... me and my kids.

women have a completely different lifestyles then men, probably better in terms of not being alone.
more looks = more options. BM, you can probably have it pretty easy in life if you chose to.

They were ALL one-hit-wonders.

Yes, I am attractive, but that isn't why I have so many options. Younger men would be satisfied with just a pretty face and nice body, but MEN of substance (like the ones that I am attracted to) require more. To men who do find me appealing, I am the total package and once I commit I am 100% monogamous.

No man wants the woman that any man can have.

However, not every man that I am interested in is totally interested in me. I do have a crazy ex that will never die and I am also not 100% healthy.

So because we are all grown and not into wasting time we either stay friends or move on.

Yes, I wont dispute that. I could have one guy pay my rent, the next pay for whatever else I wanted.

However, I am not wired that way.

I take care of me and mine and until I find a man that will love me the way that I am capable of giving love I will not settle and will be satisfied to remain alone.

I was owned once.

NEVER AGAIN.

I did get invited to a strip club by a stripper at my gym, to see her dance on Valentines day. That was a very strange conversation. :worried: :insane:
 
Kay now we have it narrowed down to one of three.

My kids want me to go out with my ex. (But I dont know if I want to make myself available for him. Like I said, I may tell him I am busy and just train clients because I wont lie and say I am busy and go out with another guy.)

uy # 2 (Big Bald, smart and funny dude) guy that I really wanted to go out w/just called and after a short conversation that we will continue tomorrow I will see if I want him to take me out on Vday (that is if he is available).

Guy #3 - the European dude with postdoctoral degree, not really my physical type but REALLY bright and funny called and left a message. I was supposed to go out w/him on Sunday night but had to cancel to babysit for my sister and her husband. I doubt that he would refuse a date on Monday.

I've also been telling my boss that I will accept a really big box of pecan turtles (has to be really big because of all my kids LOL) for the occasion!

But like I said, I will most likely end up not going out with anyone at all.

LOL Where did you read that?

NONE of them is "hot"... they are all eligible bachelors that I find appealing.

How am I stringing anyone? I am not sleeping with any of them. The thread was about Valentine's day specifically and I have stated ad nauseum that I find THAT DAY to be too much pressure, too many expectations and I will most likely defer and end up training clients.

I dont have to lie. (I already stated that I wouldnt even go out with another guy telling my exbeau - even though we have no commitment to one another at this time - that I was "busy" - that I would legitimately WORK.)

And I have already stated that these guys may very well have plans themselves.

So what is the point here?
