Do you think if a man doesn't wear a watch it says anything (+ or -) about him?

I overheard a guy talking to two young girls (daughters?) about some things. What I heard him say was basically that if a guy doesn't wear a watch it says that he is disorganized and sloppy, probably goes from job to job without spending much time at any one, has a hard time committing to anything/anyone...blah, blah, blah.

What do you think? Agree or disagree? Buncha shit I say.

Anyone else think along these lines or make similar generalizations? Is this something that I just don't notice, or am I not as much of a judgemental bastard as I thought I was (if not I will be disappointed)?

Just curious.

that's why i have a cell phone / pda....so i don't have to wear some heavy, annoying hunk of crap on my wrist.

Agree with Stosstruppe.... with time on your computer and cell phone, why wear a watch? None of my partners wear a watch and very few of our employees do. The ones I have noticed are the big flashy ones on the sales guys and they are more for show than telling time.

see...we are all along the same line of thought so far. Why wear a watch when I have to carry my cell phone anyway? There are clocks everywhere too! In cars, outside banks, in every building, everywhere. I don't need a watch. Besides, I hate wearing any kind of jewelry.

Agree here too. Seems these days watches are more of a status symbol than a tool for telling time. Waste of money.

Agree. What does not wearing a watch have to do with being sloppy? Who cares, there are other things in life to worry about.

watch = fashion accessory. i think they're cool, but i've never been in the habit of wearing them. they don't feel natural on my wrist. metal straps suck because they pull at the hairs on my arm.

You should have told the guy that you didn't wear a watch and were an EF poster. He would have shut the fuck up pronto with his value system in complete disarray!!1
