Do you see any of your parents in yourself?

i sometimes unconciously channel my father...i'll be food shopping, strolling thru the meat section, pick up a package of steak, squint at the price tag and mutter to myself "that's a lotta money!" and toss it back into the cooler. :FRlol:

i can recall my father doing the exact same routine 20 years ago... :worried:

I would say that 80% of me is my father and the rest is my mother. I can't think of anyone else I'd rather be composed of. My father is the #1 figure in my life. If I can be half of the person that he is then I'm doing alright.

Mother still thinks so!

even though my Father passed away 12 years ago, mom refuses to even consider dating, much less marrying, any of the same age men who surround her like yellow jackets around a dish of sugar water. ("none of those old fools can hold a candle to your father! i won the Lottery of Life on the first try!) :artist:

Uh, I don't look at him quite that way, but he is very handsome. Chicks dig him.

I am both of my parents reborn!!!

My dad and I looked like twins at 12-13 years old. When people see his baby pics they think it's me.

I do the same thing... my dad on his first sip of coffee in the morning would sip and mutter to himself like a quiet prayer or something, good coffee... I find myself doing the same thing once and while.

I'm a sarcastic smartass just like my dad. I tried a lot growing up to pattern myself after my dad, he's the best in my opinion.

Cheers,
Scotsman
Both of my parents are not smartasses, well my mom likes to dog on lazy people and liars, but who doesn't? But she takes extra joy in berating them... alot of peeps giving it up to dads... not a props to mom shout out yet.

A LOT.

from my mom:
need to be alone very often
very low inclusion needs
not very affectionate
very systematic
"everything has a place and should be put away"
rules are important
keep everything bottled up inside
dont show emotions

from my Dad:
sense of humor and wit
emotional intelligence
natural intelligence ( although i could never be as smart as he id)
logic and common sense
explosive temper when pushed past a point
ambition
work ethic
thats a great combo smurf... explains why you rock, but where did couch love come from?
its weird that your mom didn't show much emo... I wouldn't have thought that with your demeanor... I just would have assumed she was self expressive. Assumptions blow.

I have my dad's : perfectionism, business savvy, analytical mind and overall intelligence, ambition

my mom's: Charisma, sense of humor, temper, ADHD, brutal honesty and toughness
