Do you like being happy? Or sad? Or angry?

Content.

There is just no other feeling that compares.

You are content with yourself and your surroundings and you have the clarity to see what you want in the future.

Post orgasm isn't bad either, but that's so temporary...

i am usually very happy and i like it,but i think being sad and angry sometimes is normal and a healthy way to express how you feel,no point in bottling it up

But, the point is do you like it? My cousin likes being sad. Everything in his life is bad. His new job. His new jag. It's all bad. I think he's a closet emo.

There are people like that - they are only happy when they are miserable.

I'd take sad or angry over happy any day. You learn a lot more about yourself that way. And most people that are happy all the time are oblivious anyway.

to a extent i like it,but thats because I dont spend much time in either state of mind,I imagine my view would change if I was sad or angry all day every day

The part that freaks me out is the people who can switch from one to the next with no segues. No inkling of what happening next, just BAM!

Oh, yes, I agree.

I experienced every emotion possible this year, it was a wild rollercoaster ride. I think I've reached being content. I'm comfortable with who I am, the people in my life. I meant what I said about not inviting anyone new into it nor am I going to heal any broken relationships (If I don't talk to you now, I'm not talking to you in July). There are 3 things I want and will focus on, nothing else.

And people that are only happy if they are making other people miserable.

Unfortunately, you can't avoid that (people that like to ruin relationships or seek attention from other people's partners; those prefer others to be miserable because they don't have a life) That said, people like that will always be miserable, how you handle them is more important. Its very sad.

Anyway, I think its a true experience to go through every emotion. But, I find it drains me. I would love to live life to the fullest, sedated

It drains me to. I agree with both you and Vel, being content is what I prefer. I've gone thru a really angry, sad stage and it took its toll on me in a big way. Right now I am very happy :rose:

I can't be truly happy when the people I love around me are'nt. So, I have trouble always being happy. I think happiness is the best thing to have. You really wasted a day of your life if you were'nt happy today. Make EVERY day happy, or strive to be happy. In the end, that's what it's all about when you think about it.

I love anger, it heightens the senses and lets you know what it is to be alive. Nothing like the peak of a good rage to make the world make sense for a bit.

Cheers,
Scotsman

I like content when I've reached a goal after a lot of work or waiting. But I can't stay "content" for too long - very hard for me to not make constant improvements in some part of my life every day. Sometimes the frustration / time / energy / effort / money it requires to achieve a goal can be the thing I need some "cruise" time to just ride and recover from, but "content" isn't enough for very long for me.

That's not to say that I am not envious of my friends w/ kids and dont' seem to do a whole hell of a lot in their lives except raise great kids, but they seem very content and that looks like it can be great too!
