Do You Have to be Ruthless to be Financially Successful?

75th said:
No, not at all.

I wouldnt consider myself financially successful in the way you are probably thinking, but I get along just fine...and I know that if I keep going at this rate I will reach a level of financial "success" that I think many people would be comfortable with. Nothing major, but respectable. Nor I or the people I work with (who make much more than I do) are cutthroat in any way. Im getting to be successful by treating my clients well and by making sure the people that work for me are successful. If they make money, I make money. But yeah, it depends on your line of work.

as lennon said in his song working class hero
" they say there is plenty of room on the top of the hill ,but first you must learn to smile as you kill "

Does Green Day do a cover of that song now? I've heard it a few times and it sounds like them until the last line "If you want to be a hero then just follow me" that sounds like Lennon or either a damn good impersonation of him.

It has nothing to do with luck. You want something, get it. Go get it. Do whatever it takes. Get what you want. That's how I think about it.

This question keeps cropping up in my mind. I honestly do not know anyone IRL who is really financially successful. Excluding something like a talent for investing, does a person who is REALLY making serious bank need to be at least a little ruthless?

Not at all, some of the wealthiest richest people in the world are the worlds biggest philantropists aswell, giving alot back to the community.

I think sometimes the better a person is more generous and whatnot, the easier they find ways to wealth.

like the laws of prosperity give back to recieve more etc etc yadda yadda.

but seriously alot of the richest people in the world also give the most away to help others, so I can't deem them as ruthless under any circumstance.

word

With great riches, comes great responsibility.

If I ever became ungodly rich - I'd probably just give most of it away. What am I going to do with $2.2 billion???

Give it away. I'd probably create a cost-effective alternative to public schools (been designing some plans already), cost-effective access to foreign medical treatment, more $ incentives for companies worldwide to work together and combat diseases, and scholarships for kids who want to become doctors, but come from poor homes who can't afford the skyrocketing medical tuition rates. All with no emphasis on profit or ROI in mind.

Stuff like that. A person with money can make those changes.
