where i live emergency coverage (the type for emergencies) with a $500-1000 deductible is only about $25 a month.

i have no idea what dental coverage is. but i think it is pretty cheap too (but i haven't seen a dentist in 7 years. and i'm fine).

sooooooo what is the big deal? i think you are mistaking health coverage with health. self help via the internet & preventive medicine will do more than a more thorough medicare/medicaid plan.

America hasn't yet won the war against the BIG INSURANCE companies and their lobbyists. Until we do, we will continue to have more unsolved physical and mental problems affecting our nation.

Many morons in America don't understand the simple concept that universal access to healthcare brings happier people, which equals: less crime and a more productive society.

Don't most states have healthcare programs for those without insurance. I know we have ACHHS here. We also have County hospitals that my taxes help pay to fund.

BTW if you aren't making a profit you aren't in business anymore. Although I will tell you that lots and lots of insurance companies are losing money every day of the year. One of the mid level insurers here in AZ pays a minimum of $1 Million/day ever single day.
