The cost of an individual policy in New York for a twenty something year old male is 250.00. In Atlanta, the average is 100.00.

How many people on this board have healthcare insurance?

If so, are you satisfied with the quality of it?

I do. As any Canadian I have access to universal health care. But I also have a private for some things such as dentist and some medications....

America hasn't yet won the war against the BIG INSURANCE companies and their lobbyists. Until we do, we will continue to have more unsolved physical and mental problems affecting our nation.

Many morons in America don't understand the simple concept that universal access to healthcare brings happier people, which equals: less crime and a more productive society.

yup. Its an HMO. I hardly use it, but i've had an asshole doc once and I couldn't get a second opinion cuz he was my PCP(primary care physician). I had to change physicians, which wasn't that bad, but it was just inconvient. I guess I could have, but didn't wanna pay out the ass.
Its through work, so they deduct $40/month. Not bad compared to some of my friends.

This is one thing I'll never understand from my southern neighbour. Health care, free public school (including university) are things all civilized nations should have.

It's a vicious cycle, don't you think?

Yes I do and its a damn good policy too.............I have one of those job things. Guys like Ryan can use trust fun moneyto pay flor anything they want...............so take all these liberals money for health care. Let them live on the street. They wanna do it to people who actually WORK for a living.

Ryan here's my health care plan: Legalize Mariijuana and put very high taxes on it like cigarettes. It will have FAR LESS negative health effects that acohol or cigarettes. Plus people get mellow on the stuff and everyone is happy.

The war are drugs have created the mess we have today, mandatory sentences for drug offenders are what's swelling up our jails. This is fucking ASININE. Remember Prohibition??

I've never said I can pay for anything I want.

Besides, the best things in life are free----good literature and ideas.

You put too much focus on material items. Rarely, do I ever think of them.

You never think of them because growing up you could have anything you wanted, even now if you want a $50,000 car you just buy it and don't think twice. So I can see how material things mean nothing to you. They only become important when you don't have the means to get them
