Do you guys find that gear is addictive?

What do you guys think about gear being addictive?

(addictive may not be the right word, but you know what I mean)

There is not physcially addictive about AAS but either is Cocaine for that matter. Most people who do a cycle and get good results will be back for more, at least that was the case for me. There is also nothing mind-altering about AAS. It's not like injecting a speedball. You take your shot and you're done for the day or the week.

Some people abuse it and operate under the assumption that more is better and that's where they run into problems. That's also why the government makes it a controlled substance. You have teenagers using 1gm or more per week, some of which are members of this board (no need to mention names) but that's where the problem is.

I reckon the psychological addiction can be great with all that extra strength and the overall feeling of well-being. For this reason, I think thats why many people who say they are only going to do one cycle and thats it... LOL ...end up doing much more than one.

And with all the press and media information about what looks good for a guys physique adds to the stress placed upon young men, so some will cut corners and take steroids with little knowledge or experience which is dangerous.

The whole world is fucked.

when im on roids i feel more confident and better about my self. i also feel like super man and i get more attention from girls and other observers.thats a feeling ive always wanted. and people say that roids give u rage but when im on roids i feel relaxed and calm when i come off of it i feel small and depressed ,am i addicted?

If gear is addictive, then so is working out. Working out makes me look and feel better, stronger and more confident. When I miss a workout or stop for a while I feel like crap, lose muscle and gain weight. Gear use is similar to that. So until someone tells me that "working out" is "addictive" NO, I don't think gear use is either. I think the word "addictive" is WAAAAY over used in an attempt to attach a negative connotation to habbits that may in fact be good for you. Kinda like ADD - seems to be a BIT over used these days.

i say yes, it is addicting. its addicting when you can transform your physique in 8 weeks the same as it would take naturally for 2 years. i dont feel small while im off i gain a little muscle between cycles, i just cant wait until the next cycle when i can put on some major size again :-)

I would say that it isn't addictive for me. I like how strong I get and the extra size while on. However, I don't like the fact that I can't walk for more than 100 yards without my calves and my lower back getting too pumped. I get a very good pump in the gym while off cycle and I am still very large but when I am on cycle I am pumped all the time and can barely wipe my ass. I use steroids as a means to reach my goals not because my body craves them. - cbeaks

Anything can be addictive whether psychologically or physically. Some people are addicted to food, alcohol, etc. Me, I'm addicted to sex. In regards to AAS, definitely you can become psychologically addicted. Seeing the enormous gains made, the strength increase, etc. Then coming off and seeing some of those same things disappear can lead to a dependency on AAS because some start to develop the thinking that they cannot achieve the same objectives without the AAS. That is why it should only be used as an enhancement to an intensive and dedicated BB program. And not as the program itself.
