I don't think the "drugs" (ie: stroids) are addictive physically when taking them, but you always get a bad rap w/ almost anything. Mental dependance,...hmmm I think to a degree, but I think that also plays a big part to what menatl state you were before taking them. If you were a psycho nutjob, well,...you get the picture?I think it largely depends from person to person. Taking steroids got a real bad rap, after people who should not have taken them, took them, when they first were introduced mainstream. They used the gear as a scapegoat to justify their emotional outbreaks/problems. It was all hype, but things are screwed for us bros today from it. Steroids,...When you like the desired results and you keep up with the gear, some people may call that addictive. I call it maitinience, or Progress.
