I have had dreams about dropping weights in a meet, the weights slid off first one side and then the other. Woke me up. Sometimes it heads for my neck. Spooky dreams.
Wow! As much as I have lifted in my life I can't say I ever remember dreaming about weight.
Maybe its true that dreams are our mind's way of working through things. If dropping weights on yourself worries you, try to face this fear. You mentioned in a seperate post about lifting in a cage and the security you felt there. Working on form and safety features like clips and clamps on your barbells may also help you feel more secure.
Not saying you have any issues with the weights, I just wondered because you mentioned these things and they seemed related. Take care.

I don't dream about meets, but I do dream about training. Luckily I haven't droped any weights on myself in my dreams. If I did I probably would just die right there of a big MI and never wake up.
lol... i've dreampt about being in the gym, but not lifting. i can only assume that i'm so relaxed when i sleep that the thought of anything heavy isn't possible.
I once dreamed I was training like Ronnie Coleman and woke my GF right up when I roared in my sleep "LIGHT-WEIGHTS" as I went for a big MoFo of a deadlift in my dream! Woke myself right up too!!!
