So in building/conjuring potential energy, where is this energy coming from? Does the energy conservation law hold here, or are we introducing some sort of multi-dimensional, quantum dynamical energy exchange via spacetime perturbations of Weyl curvature below the Planck scale? If so, how do you prevent the Hubble constant going to zero and the universe collapsing?

I don't know, but I did have a disturbing experience with the Necronomicon before. I picked up a copy of the book when I was probably ~14 years old or so. I had always been into the darker things. I was not brought up in a religious household so I did some exploring of different beliefs to see if any fit me. The Necronomicon made some sense to me at the time but it weirded me out a bit as well. I started to think "Wow, if this shit is true, that's some fucked up shit." I always got a little spooky feeling whenever I opened the book. Anyways, one night it was pretty late and I had been reading through the book. Part of the beliefs involves candles placed in a north, sout, east, west configuration. I had these on my dressor. As I got tired, I tossed the book onto my dressor and fell asleep. About an hour later I woke up to a smoke filled room and there on my dresser was the book.....on fire. It scared the piss out of me. There was a logical explanation though. The candles had burned down in their glass holders and when I tossed the book by them, it slid up against the glass. The glass got hot and ignited the book. Either way it was scarey as hell. I still have that book in a box in the basement. The edges and cover are burned all to hell. It is even more spooky now.

The type of energy that make spells and curses work, acts under its own laws. It can affect this dimension but does not have to adhere to the same laws.
