do you believe in spontaneous self combustion?

there have been many documented cases of people bursting into flames for no apparent reason and burning completely away in a matter of minutes. With the fire spreading nowhere else.

Is there an explanation for this? Like the woman that burned up and only a small circle of burned carpet was damaged. The rest of the apartment was fine.

Crematologists say that it takes 3 hours at 2500 degrees for a body to completely disintergrate into ashes, so how could these people do it in a matter of minutes?

there was recently a show about this on discovery I think....they looked into a few specific cases...some they disproved, some they couldnt explain. so who knows..

i remember that they mentioned on some program alcohol being a common denominator?

the human body contains fat right....i don't see why under the right circumstances it wouldn't burn like a candle

yeap, watched the same one....

i think the phenomena is called "bullshit"

So when they do explode into flames... what is the reason that nothing else in the vincinity burns? Like their houses or furniture?

for one of the cases I think they said that the ladies leg started burning because of sodium (in the shell that she put in her pocket)? I'm not sure....it was like that got in contact with something...I dont remember it was long time ago

my thoughts exactly, it would usually be the drunk and the dellirous who would go on and combust their fat filled combustible asses.

This is not even worth a logical examination.

i watched a special on discovery like 4 yrs ago about this. it was completely debunked. there was always an external source of combustion (i.e cigarette) in these types of instances

and the fat in the body did help it act as a wick and keep it burning

lol...
the cases that they can explain they are not SSC...there were others too, but they said probably there IS a reason, but most people are elderly and living by themselves, so there is no witnesses of what happened

Hey bitch. But why doesn't the fire spread to other areas and burn down the whole house?

Incubus sure does.

I hear that, in most "real" cases (ie cases where there is no other explanation), it originates right above the knee. I talked to this guy once who said it happened to him while he was driving.

Saw the same show....

Low burn temps and the sources of the fires. They did an experiment on the same show with a pig soaked in alchohol and it torched up the outer layers but the inner layers burned slow for a few days and the surrounding area didn't burn because they fire never got that big or hot after the inital burn off.

Stop curling-ing it.

#1 Who in their right minds is going to let a fire burn on them for a FEW DAYS? Hello?

#2 They were - according to witnesses - completely consumed in flames and burned up in a matter of minutes.

#3 How can the fire not get that hot when it melted bone?

give us some proof of this happening.

Pardon me while I burst.....

A decade ago, I never thought I would be
At twenty three, on the verge of
spontaneous combustion. Woe-is-me. But I
guess that it comes with the territory; an
ominous landscape of
never ending calamity
I need you to hear, I need you to see, that I have
had all I can take and
exploding seems like a definite possibility
to me.
So pardon me while I burst into flames.
I've had enough of the world, and its people's mindless games.
So pardon me while I burn and rise above the flame.
Pardon me, pardon me...I’ll never be the same.

Not two days ago, I was having a look in a book and I saw a picture of a
guy
fried up above his knees
I said, "I can relate," ‘cause lately I've been thinking of combustication
as a welcomed vacation from
the burdens of the planet earth.
Like gravity, hypocrisy, and the perils of being in 3-D...
and thinking so much differently.
So pardon me while I burst into flames.
I've had enough of the world and its people's mindless games.
So pardon me while I burn and rise above the flame.
Pardon me, pardon me...I’ll never be the same.

Never Be the same

Pardon me while I burst into flames.
Pardon me, pardon me, pardon me.

So pardon me while I burst into flames.
I've had enough of the world and its people's mindless games.
So pardon me while I burn and rise above the flame.
Pardon me, pardon me... I’ll never be the same.
Pardon me, (I’ll) never be the same, yeah...

1. Most corenors on the show suggested that the person was in a deep coma or dead at the time of the fires.

2. there never has been a direct eye witness in the modern era.

3. Long burning fires can conume anything. Even bone.

I think what causes it is old geigh men have a bit of a sensory overload when they see 18 year old boys in halter tops with glitter makeup and candy pacifiers dancing to techno remixes of Wham! songs.

My mom said she actually witnessed this when she was younger.
A woman was walking across the crosswalk and right as she got in front of her car POOF!! Up in flames! She said she totally freaked and tried to back up as the flaming woman started to fall near her car.
I've always wanted to witness that since she told me about it.
