I think its more about not being ready or able to raise a child than hating it. Thats my take on it.

Standard questions. My position:
Rape: Keep the kid and put it up for adoption.

Life of the mother: keep the kid.

But my main beef w/abortion is that it is federally funded and in many states it can be done without parental consent and the male doesn't have to know.

So not only do my tax dollars pay for something that I find immoral, but if my daughter wanted to abort my grandchild I would not be notified, and if I conceive a child the woman could kill it without my having any say.

Most folks have abortions because it would inconvienience them to have a child. Should have thought of that before doing the wild thang.

I think the focus should be more on successful birth control practice. Abortion should not be used as a form of birth control neither should ignorance nor denial of sex happening be an excuse.

i'm just curious what you people think of partial birth abortions. normally, i wouldnt give a shit, but it appears an effort is being made to have it banned.

personally, i think partial birth abortion is pretty fucked up and grotesque procedure. if someone wants an abortion, why dont they just do it right away, instead of waiting a few months?

Because they were too selfish and stupid to let the *accident* happen in the first place.

There should be little to no accidents - if you are not ready to have children protect yourself, if you can't protect yourself then don't have sex unless you are mature enough to respect the potential consequenses.

What if the mother did A LOT of crack/drugs while the baby was still inside her?

Would you still want that baby to live a life of hell? (Deformity, major health problems, suffering, etc...)

Because I know a lot of drug babies are mentally retarded, and/or physically disabled when they get older (If they even live when concieved)

All of these hypothetical situations you keep mentioning are the exceptional cases. Usually the baby is healthy, just inconvienient to the mother's career, goals, finances, social life, etc.

Too easy. Defense of our nation is mandated by the Constitution, whereas abortion is not. On the contrary, all citizens are entiltled to LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Kind of hard to pursue happiness when you're killed in the womb.

the law is the law. I'm sure there are plenty of people who oppose capital punishment, but yet they pay for the procedure with taxpayer money.

with that said, I'm all for abortion even though I know it's killing life... however partial birth abortions are totally irresponsible and should only be done in extreme cases. if the person is too stupid to make her mind up to get the abortion in the early phase of the pregnancy then they have to suck it up and carry it to term.
