What I cannot figure out is why if it is used in cases where the mother's life is in danger that they don't just deliver preterm and treat it like any other premie??? Babydoc...can you explain???
Because the majority of 24-26 week preemies don't really survive in any condition that you'd want to talk about.
Also, if the mother's life is in danger, what makes you think that labor, either vaginally or with c-section, is going to be any less dangerous at 25 weeks than at term?
But as I said, partial birth abortion is a really rare thing; it's akin to say doing mastectomies to prevent breast cancer. It's being publicized because it's a hop, skip, and a jump from there to abortion which is all the anti-abortionists are really after. Like I said, the ends justify the means for these people.
that statement is not false.. when i got my girl pregnant she opted to get an abortion wich was fine with me, she had an abortion with out telling me she was going through with it. i had no idea when where or how.. i knew nothing, i signed nothing so what is that telling me. that i have no choice in the matter if i really wanted an abortion.. now i do have a family and i decided to get a vasectomy so went to the doc and i could not go any further until my wife signed and consented that it is ok for me to get a vasectomy and that she wanted no more kids..... my brother had a vasectomy 6 years ago he lives in a different state and the same applied to him.. my dad had one a long time ago my mother had to consent that it was ok for him to get one before the procedure could be done. no i dont know the law nor do i know if it applies everywhere but what i have gone through and what my brother and dad went through and some of my friends who were in similar boats went threw it seems to me it is not hard to figure out that a women can get an abortion with out the man knowing or parrticipating in it.... and that a wife does indeed have a big impact and a hole lot of say so whether or not her husband has a vasectomy.........
