Do we, Should we, Must we, throw away pictures of our ex's

I'd like to know the consensus on this. Even though we are not still with them, does that mean that our past doesn't exist? Should our present love get/have the authority to ask/tell us to get rid of them, or is it simply a matter of respect?

Guess there's nothing wrong with keeping a picture or two around for the sake of positive memories...

...but if you've got some kind of a shrine going....it's time to cut her loose...

May as well just burn 'em or bury 'em in the yard.....it'll help you "move on"....maybe give you some closure...

I am not at all hung up, but I think the wife might have a little trouble with the fact that I have a few pics of some ex's lying around. I'd like to know whether her expectations of me losing all my pics from my past is unrealistic.

Maybe keep one or two, for the memories...but think about why your keeping them. If you have a knew relationship and it looks long term...then why keep them.

It's a tough call, I threw them all out...killed me because there were prom pictures and holiday memories, days at the beach ext. but it's over, I have the memories in my head.

I think the next women I date deserves to know I will be totally devoted to her...and not hung up on great memories that are just that memories.

I have a few snapshots around. It doesn't bother me to look at them. Granted the pics are 3-4 years old. :)

I agree with Stryc-9. A couple pics is ok, but if you're using 'em as wallpaper, then you need to do some serious burning. :)
