as the title says... i think they are useless and the only solution is to not have this functionality at all... what do you guys say?
Do we really need the poll option on this forum?

Like I said in my anti-poll thread the other day, it wouldn't be as bad if they didn't get bumped just because someone voted without posting a message.
I asked casualbb about it and he said he 'might' make a suggestion to an admin, but I haven't heard back from him.
The more noise we make, the more likely something will be done about it

to begin with, does anyone see anything useful about a poll,... i've not seen anything, new or old, that could help me. for eg, "poll: what do you use while deadlifting?" could be asked as a normal thread where experienced lifters could give me the pros and cons of various options. i don't want to know that 100 anonymous ppl use chalk when i know for a fact that most of those 100 suck dog balls at deads.
that's just a seemingly more useful poll... there are plenty more which serve absolutely no purpose like "poll: which exercise for bicep pumps"!

another thing... i think polls could be restricted to C & C. in fact, on most of the forums, a poll becomes spam.

They're useless and more of a "chat and conversation" thread. I'm convinced that the tards that are bumping them are a version of trolling sent by the C&C minions.

it's like asking do we really need C&C? about as but it's not going anywhere and neither are the polls
they would be fine if people let them fade quietly into the night but there's always new members jumping on them to brag about how much they can curl and how big their arms are

I agree, yesterday it was complete bull shit, I logg on and the frist 10 threads are useless, pointless polls about absolute dog crap.
It is a PIA to sift through that crap to get to a decent thread that you actually want to read.
Polls should be banned from this section of the website as they serve no purpose. Lets have a poll about it,
