Do Police Departments test for Anabolics before hiring new recruits?

I have been in a very coveted department's hiring process now for about two years. I was drug tested during the beginning of the process. During my polygraph, i confessed to using anabolics years ago, which is true. Well i've made it through my final interview and now I'm just awaiting their decision.

I don't want to just come out and ask if they test for anabolics. I was planning on starting a pulse cycle of Tren/Epi for 6 weeks but don't know if they're going to require a last minute test. I don't know why they would all of the sudden, as i don't think they would have any reason to. Plus, it's a very small department. Has anyone been tested for steroids right before they were hired on? I know they test in certain states and departments, but do they only test in certain states and in larger departments? Thanks.

I'm willing to bet it depends on the county. They're a lot more expensive and most places don't really care for steroid use. I've seen plenty of cops that are obviously juiced up and look at Ronnie Coleman, he was a cop. Clearly he wasn't tested for them.

And it may be "hypocritical" to take illegal drugs while joining the force. But they're illegal for sports performance reasons. An officer taking gear doesn't really put himself at any advantage in his career over other cops. I'd bet most counties don't give a shit. But you're taking a risk regardless.
